Either way you say it, “Have You Eaten Yet?” is a common greeting in Asia especially among the Chinese. The Chinese place a lot of emphasis on food. Many business deals are conducted around a dining table laden with food, and it is usually preferred that a family dines together because Chinese food is served communally.
Possibly due to the scarcity of food at one time, this greeting was more to do with well being than impolite curiousity. The common answer of course is “Yes, I’ve eaten” although it will not stop people from inviting you to join in their meal!
With this firmly in mind, and added to that the fact I’m Malaysian and Chinese and I love my food, I decided to call this site HaveYouEaten.Net. It does sound a little like “Have You Eaten Yet?”. 
The Pink Parisian at HaveYouEaten.Net is all about food and drink and the easy recipes I whip up or come across from time to time. As I eat out quite a bit, do stay for some food reviews too. I enjoy eating street food anywhere I go, and Malaysia abounds with wonderful and tasty street food sold by hawkers or street vendors. No mere restaurant reviews here at Pink Parisian! Even hawkers will be reviewed to find you some of the best food around.
