Soo Kee Mee needs no introduction. Any foodie worth their salt would have eaten at this stall/coffee shop at some point or another. I stopped going here because I found the food getting too pricey.
But there is nowhere in KL where I can get paper wrap chicken done as well as they do it in Soo Kee
Paper Wrap Chicken @ Soo Kee Mee RM5
At least I think its RM5 per piece. Crazy expensive for a portion of chicken that could be a wing+ breast or drumstick+thigh depending on your luck. Its a little oily but what do you expect of a deep fried chicken? I like this version which is the dry version. The chicken is tasty and juicy and all round delicious. Messy as heck to eat though
While I’m at Soo Kee I also usually have their Beef Kway Teow.
Beef Noodles @ Soo Kee RM12/2 person potion
A 2 person portion is fairly large if you aren’t both big eaters. The sauce is thick and eggy and the beef is cooked just right – soft yet not over cooked. If you are very particular, you might find the dish a little too starchy but I don’t mind
The Sang Har Meen or Freshwater Prawns Noodles here is also popular but I don’t like it and besides that one is really crazy expensive! If you plan to order it, make sure you ask the price first or you might be shocked.
