Apparently Tea for Two in Bangsar is an icon and I only found out about it recently! Well, recently as in a few months ago when I was invited for an informal brunch which I had to miss due to family obligations. So, slightly more recently, I went back for a bite. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to go all the way with the menu as I wasn’t hungry. Boo! :P

Anyway I ordered the Tomato Bruchetta (RM12.80) because I had it the last time I was there and I remembered it was good.

I however did not remember that it was so expensive :P Granted, the bread was fresh and fragrant and the tomato topping tangy, fresh and tasty but RM12.80 for 3 slices! Wow…

Next on the cards for me was Mushroom Soup (RM15.80). I thought that might be a nice big bowl of soup.

Fresh Mushroom Soup

Uh nope! My picture doesn’t show you the size but it was a small helping. Granted again, taste wise I have no complaints. It was piping hot, flavoursome and tasty. But RM15.80 for that! :O It came with Garlic Bread though or was Garlic bread part of the set? I can’t remember :P

Garlic Bread

I enjoyed the Garlic Bread. I stopped from ordering more because like everything else, it was pricey :(

Lunch buddy had a set lunch of Chicken Chop with Fries (RM19.50).

Chicken Chop with fries

The chicken was grilled nicely and slightly charred for a smoky flavour. The onion sauce was interesting and made for a delicious combination. The fries were just fries :P The lunch set came with coffee and although the size of the chicken chop was on the small side, it was about the only decently priced thing.

Still, will I return? Yes unfortunately. I want to try some of the other dishes there and I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. I sat outside and although it was a bright sunny day, it was not too hot and it felt like I was on a resort somewhere. It was relaxing :) I gotta save up to eat there though – food is pricey, just like at a resort :P

the food there is pretty awesome, but i’d have to agree on the price – maybe tea time’s better? (it IS called tea for two after all…heehee..)

@thefoodaholic: I was there roughly around tea time hence not feeling hungry. The prices don’t change :P
