Airline Food: Singapore Airlines Japan-Kuala Lumpur

Since I showed you what I had on board the A380 from Kuala Lumpur to Japan, I might as well show you what I had on the way back. It was a day flight so we were served lunch.

Western Lunch - Steak with mash potatoes

There was a choice between Western and Japanese food so since there were 2 of us, we had both. The Western set was a pork steak with mash potatoes. Delicious! A little salty but went well with the mash.

The Japanese set was super substantial!

Japanese Set - Seafood and chicken rice and noodles

There was a set of seafood and chicken with fried rice, rather like a man-fan. Again, salty but tasty otherwise. There was also a generous helping of soba noodles with sauce and for snack – senbei, fruit and cake.

Soba noodles on board complete with sauce and condiments!

This. This is what flying is all about – food you don’t have to pay a premium price for, with unlimited refills of fruit juices, coffee and liquor. And this is the reason I fly commercial airlines wherever possible. If you are patient and look carefully, you can get commercial airline tickets for cheaper than budget which is what I do! :)
