Airline Food : Kuala Lumpur – Japan Singapore Airlines

When I recently went to Japan, I flew Singapore Airlines or SQ as it is popularly known. It was the A380 which is at present one of the biggest planes in its fleet so it was exciting! I thought I’d give you an idea of what airline fare to expect on this flight. Contrary to most people, I do rather enjoy airline food – I like the surprise element :P

Turkey and Cheese Olive Panini

It was a midnight flight so all we got for our first meal was a light snack. Choice was either Turkey and Cheese Olive Panini or Warm Mango and Shrimp with Herb Panini with coffee or tea. The Turkey sandwich wasn’t too bad but wait till you see the mango and shrimp sandwich.

Where’s the shrimp indeed! I didn’t have much hope for the other meals by this juncture :P But breakfast before we landed at Narita Airport wasn’t too bad. There was a choice between a western style breakfast or Japanese style one.

Pancakes with Sausages, Muffin and fruit

The Japanese breakfast was a traditional one with rice, salmon and some fruit.

It wasn’t too bad overall so I was pleasantly surprised. But then as I said, I’m not too fussy about eating airline food. Its part of the whole travel adventure! :D

LOL…people are always giving me weird looks when I say I like airline food – but hey, some of them aren’t too bad when you think about it. That reminds me, they totally stuffed us on the KL-BKK flight…should do a post on that! :D (somehow the food going there was seriously a LOT!)

Haha, I enjoy airline food too! Sometimes I ask for second servings.

Omigosh, I thought I was the only soul that truly digs airline food!! I just love the choices available, the chance of being able to eat something I hadn’t before…all in all, its like playing chance and it’s always bringing me good returns ;)
