Here’s something I’ve eaten at many times and I’m sure many of you have too. This is also a place you’d have been to many a time because people say its got one of the best pork ball noodles in Kuala Lumpur and they are perhaps right.

Restoran Sun Huat Kee is in the area of Bangsar known as Lucky Gardens. The stall selling the Pork Ball Noodles is right at the front of the shop and I believe that they were the ones who set it up. The owner of this stall was formerly selling these very same pork ball noodles in the coffee shop in the centre of the same row of shops but he moved out of there a few years ago.

There is still a pork ball noodle stall in the centre coffeeshop but I prefer the taste of this one.

You have a choice of having the noodles in soup or dry. The noodles come with mince pork that is pre-cooked in soy sauce gravy, chinese sausage and of course, pork meat balls.

I always go for the dry version and you can have it with mee, mee hoon, loh shee fun or kueoy teow. I go for a variety and sometimes mix them all up!

The minced pork in soy sauce is tasty so naturally the noodles will be tasty too. The pork balls are springy and do not have a strong taste of meat and come in a meat broth. This dish is especially delicious with a lot of pickled green chilli which adds a sharp piquant taste.

A very nice lunch indeed! Prices as at today are RM4.50 (small), RM5 (medium) and RM5.50 (large) while green chilli is all you can eat! :D The picture shows a small portion which is about right for me.

There are other stalls in this coffee shop but I usually go there only for this noodle :)
