After all the brou-ha-ha over the opening of Krispy Kreme in Malaysia, with its first outlet at Berjaya Times Square, it has quickly spread its wings to MidValley Megamall. And no wonder – MidValley Megamall has to be one of the best trafficked malls around.

I’d never tried Krispy Kreme (never found a reason to go to Berjaya Times Square) so when I found out it was open at MidValley, I popped by. The new Krispy Kreme is on the LG floor next to Pizza Hut.
I picked out the Original Glazed Doughnut – its what Krispy Kreme is built on. 1 original glazed doughnut is RM2.50 while a dozen is RM19.90.

The smell is really lovely – fragrant and sweet and appetite inducing. I did find it a bit on the sweet side but then, I’m not much of a doughnut fan.
Still at least I can say I’ve tried Krispy Kreme doughnuts… and I don’t think I’ll be eating them again in a hurry!

its opened already?! gosh i havent gone to MV for ages. need to drag my mr. along then. yeah, havent found the reason to go to Times Square too.
i do love the original glazed, tried it before in Jakarta. but from the looks of it, its a bit more expensive here!
the original doughnut is too sweet…………………but the coffee is nice which i tried at Berjaya Times Square last month.
Tried it when it opens at Berjaya Times Square but to me its just “meh”.I was thinking to myself :”Its gotta be better than this if its all the rave in Japan and US.”
I first tried Krispy Kreme in London. Back then it was like THE donuts to have and was all the rave. Possibly because the only competitor back then was crappy Dunkin’ Donuts. Then I came home and had JCo and Big Apple, and when KK reached KL it just pales in comparison. And no Kahyee, it’s no better overseas than it is here. I prefer Jco and Big Apple any day!
KK is too sweet for my liking, can get diabetes hehe. I prefer J.Co and Big Apple instead.
Now I know why obesity is rampant in US.
