When I lived in USJ, New Apollos Restaurant was a place I’d sometimes frequent for the Claypot Chicken Rice. The lady selling it was pretty famous in her own right and it was tasty. Recently, I was back in the area and decided to give it another go.

New Apollos Restaurant is a corner coffee shop at USJ 4 Subang Jaya. I’m not sure if the stall is open in the day time but I’ve only been there at night.
The lady still uses a charcoal fire which is the traditional way of cooking the claypot chicken rice. The portion is very generous. The picture shows a portion for 2. It only comes in 2 sizes.
It comes with a LOT of rice so those who enjoy eating rice will enjoy this. I would prefer if there was more sauce to moisten the rice. Chicken pieces weren’t all that many but for the price I didn’t complain much. Chicken was reasonably tasty and it comes with a generous helping of Chinese waxed sausage and salted fish which adds to the aroma and taste.
A small portion is RM5 and a large as in the picture above is RM8.50. Its enough for 2 and its a reasonable price I think. I did find it was a bit too salty but otherwise its tasty.
The other thing I enjoy eating at this same stall is the Chinese Wine Chicken but I did not order it this time round. New Apollos Restaurant is at USJ4/6B Subang Jaya.
