I’ve been to ChatterboxHK at Bangsar Village quite many times since they opened but I’ve never featured them. Ironic eh? LOL… Anyway I was there recently for lunch and saw they had a set lunch that was quite well priced and substantial.

Chatterboxhk set lunch

Its called the Office Set @ RM12.90 ++ and available 11am-5pm Monday-Friday except public holidays. Here’s what you will get.

Butter Toast with Scrambled Egg and Ham

Served piping hot, the toast is thick and fresh. The egg was more of an omelette and has generous helpings of ham (pork) in it.

For main we opted for the Shredded Preserved SzeChuan Vegetable with Pork Mee Hoon Soup.

It comes in a plate and is not that large a helping but enough for a small eater like me. It was tasty and there was definitely more than what you’d get at a hawker stall!

You also get a choice of hot or cold tea or coffee. The tea is “Lai char” or the Hong Kong style pulled tea which is tea served with evaporated milk. You add sugar yourself to taste.

For RM12.90++ I thought the whole set was quite worth the price. I however had the Hot and Sour Vermicelli with Pork Chop (RM9.80++)

Hot and sour vermicelli pork chop

The vermicelli is the thick variety and the soup is clear but spicy and sour with preserved vegetables. It comes in a large bowl and I love this! The pork chop is served separately so it doesn’t get soggy from soaking in the noodles and it was freshly fried and hot and crispy. I certainly enjoyed it.

ChatterboxHK is at Bangsar Village and 1 Utama. Give them a try. I enjoy their set dinners too. Portions are fair, prices are decent and the food tastes pretty good.
