Co Do Vietnamese Restaurant

When I feel a hankering for Vietnamese food in Kuala Lumpur, I head on down to MidValley Megamall where Co Do Vietnamese restaurant awaits. The restaurant is located on the top most floor where the cinema is and is above Little Vietnam. Incidentally, Little Vietnam and Co Do share the same management.

I find the food at Co Do reasonably good and their value set meals for 2 are absolutely worth it if you have about 3 persons to share because portions are quite large.

I recommend trying the Clam Rice.

Vietnamese Clam Rice

The clams (lala) are stir fried with not too spicy sauce and served with lots of shredded green lettuce on hot rice. To eat, mix it all up and enjoy. Its delicious especially if you eat it with some chilli sauce or fish sauce.

Another item I enjoy is the Pho Bo or Vietnamese beef noodles.

A true test of any Vietnamese restaurant is their Pho Bo and the one at Co Do never fails me. There is a variety to choose from. I may prefer the pho at Pho Hoa Restaurant (I feel its more authentic) but the one at Co Do is pretty decent stuff too.

For starters I always choose the Dragon Fruit Salad.

Dragon Fruit SAlad

The fresh dragon fruit is mixed with some fish sauce and crushed peanuts and some strips of dried cuttlefish that makes it taste really delicious!

Food portions are on the large side and prices are reasonable. Sets for 2 average RM25 or so.

Give it a shot and see the next time you feel like Vietnamese food!

Glad to stumble on your blog. It brings back fond memories of our vacation in Malaysia Christmas before last. A few Malaysian restaurants here in the Bay Area but only one decent one. We miss the culinary paradise of Malaysia and must content ourselves with the few dishes we learned how to cook well. But now we have your blog to make our mouths water.
