Apologies for the tardiness in updating. I have SO MANY pictures to sort out of the various food I have eaten and I promise I am getting down to them. I haven’t cooked much in a while for various reasons but I have been eating out so I will have some food reviews coming up.
I did however, host a little post-Christmas party with just my family. Perhaps it might serve as a taster of what a larger dinner party would entail if I start inviting more guests in future!
I learnt a few things, not least of which was that I NEED more cutlery! That would be the next thing I’ll have to get for my kitchen
I roasted a large chicken in my new oven, which was quite exciting, it being the first time I’ve roasted a chicken that huge and that delicious! The recipe will follow soon. Its easy, I swear. I served it with homemade hummus (again, the recipe will follow in due course) and toasted lebanese bread, green salad, and some tuna pasta salad. For drinks, we had some sangria and a bottle of delicious red wine.
I’d say the dinner was a resounding success, the chicken was absolutely delicious and we all had a great time indulging in wine and plum pudding with fresh peaches courtesy of my sister. Did you enjoy your Christmas holidays?
