The Best Curry Laksa in Kuala Lumpur
The best curry laksa in Kuala Lumpur (for me) is in Pudu. It is a stall at the corner of the road which houses the famous Tong Kee Brothers Bakery and I only know it as No. 168.

Patrons sit in a small shop unit but during lunch seating can be scarce as this stall is very popular. They serve a variety of noodles with Curry Laksa being a specialty.
The Curry Laksa here comes in a very large portion. This is the standard size! You can choose your noodle - yellow mee, kuey teow, mee hoon or a mix. The curry sauce is thick and flavoursome and not overly spicy which is what makes a good curry laksa. It is served with raw long beans and four angle beans for bite and bean sprouts (tauge). There is also tau pok (bean curd) pig skin and foo chuk (bean curd skin), fish balls and some meat. You can opt out of cockles (see hum) which I did or if you enjoy it, then by all means, request for it. One bowl of curry laksa was RM3.80 the last time I ate there. Absolutely worth it!
I also like their other clear soup noodles.

This is clear soup mee hoon with sui kow (pork dumplings). You can specify what you want in it e.g. char siew, wan tan, sui kow or any combination of it. The fishcake, fish balls and vegetables come standard. At RM3.80 (UPDATE JULY 2008: Small prices are now RM4.30) its really worth it because portions are huge.
Parking can be hard to find though but if you do manage to find parking or are in the Pudu area, do give this stall No. 168 a try.

Oh gosh…that tau pok in the curry laksa looks sooo good!! So big and filled with the laksa kuah… *drools* And the laksa itself is the right colour. Can’t wait to try it! :p
