Apples to welcome in 2008

by Pink Parisian on January 10, 2008

Photo-0111I spotted these cute apples while in Singapore recently.

They are Japanese Fuji Apples and are grown with a 2008 New Year greeting on it, with a picture of a rat and cheese too, since its the Lunar year of the Rat. These apples aren’t cheap and were all the craze a few years ago.

How they are grown apparently, is by pasting over the apples a cut out of the message, so that that part of the apple doesn’t redden. I don’t think they taste any better, but they sure look cute!
