Carlsberg Christmas Brew beer

I first read about this special limited edition Carlsberg beer in the newspapers and I remembered thinking “Beer with cinnamon? How very odd!” For this is what this beer touts itself - beer brewed with cinnamon.
Feeling curious, I decided to pick up a bottle to see just how it tastes. It cost something like RM6.90 a bottle or something similar - I can’t quite recall. Having chilled it thoroughly in the fridge, I excitedly opened it to take a glug… and nothing.
It tastes just like normal beer. I did not detect any sweet spiciness that comes with having cinnamon, nor was there anything special about the taste. Could it be my tastebuds aren’t that well trained?
However, I did notice that the texture of the beer felt smoother on the tongue. It was light and went down very easily and there wasn’t a lot of fizz which is how I prefer my beer. Some friends who were with me liked it so much they thought of stocking it up for the Chinese New Year! But I felt it would take away the fun of it. After all, it does say Christmas Brew!
