How long is the drink good for once teh bottle is opened? Does it need to eb finished in one go, like red wines?

Yes, umeshu is considered to be a woman’s drink in Japan. Like everything sugary.

The propensity Western men have towards sweet things /food or drinks) is something that shocks Japanese people…
