Welcome to my kitchen

This is Paris’ Kitchen.

Welcome.

In here I will be brewing up my various culinary experiments and maybe checking out other people’s kitchens. But basically, this site is going to be all about food and drink. It also serves as my online recipe book holder. A place where I can chronicle my experimental cooking - only successes of course - so I don’t lose the recipe through sheer forgetfulness.

I’m unashamedly a foodie. I love food and I love cooking. Well, what passes for cooking in my book anyway. I like simple recipes that are good to eat, and I like experimenting to duplicate food that I’ve eaten outside. I also enjoy eating out, and I’m game to try most things once. Well, maybe not everything, but most things :) I like making desserts but not eating them, so volunteers are quite welcome for me to practise on!

Oh, and I’m also a budding bartender. LOL… I enjoy my drinks and they are so expensive outside, so it’ll be fun to make my own. I even bought a book about it… if I can find it.

I know the question that’s going through many of your minds now is

“Why is this site blue? Foodie sites are never blue.”

Well, the logical answer is because I have always wanted a blue kitchen. I still don’t have one. My current kitchen is white. So, why not a virtual blue kitchen then? Live my dreams if only online.

The truthful answer is because I liked this theme and I don’t see many sites using it. Also I think photos and colour will stand out well against this dark background.

And so, without further ado, I hereby declare Paris’ Kitchen Experiments open! Drop by, stay for a bite or a drink and leave me a morsel or two to chew over.
